As a Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator (CFMHE) and Certified Forensic Psychometrist (CFP), I provide comprehensive forensic mental health evaluations designed to bring clarity to complex legal matters. These evaluations combine clinical expertise with specialized psychological testing to address questions related to competency, risk, custody, parental capacity, malingering, and other court-involved concerns. My role also includes serving as an expert witness, offering clear, evidence-based findings and professional testimony to assist attorneys, judges, and other professionals in making informed legal decisions.
- Forensic Mental Health Evaluation: A forensic mental health evaluation is a specialized assessment conducted to address legal or court-related questions regarding an individual’s psychological functioning. This process may also include providing expert witness testimony based on the evaluation findings.
- Child Custody Evaluations: A child custody evaluation is a comprehensive assessment conducted to provide the court with objective, evidence-based recommendations regarding custody and parenting arrangements. The evaluation focuses on the best interests of the child, considering factors such as each parent’s ability to meet the child’s needs, the child’s developmental well-being, and the overall family dynamics.
- Reunification Therapy: Reunification therapy is a specialized form of counseling designed to rebuild and strengthen the relationship between a parent and child, often following separation, divorce, or estrangement. The process provides a structured and supportive environment to improve communication, foster trust, and promote a healthy, positive connection.
- Parental Alienation Assessments: A parental alienation assessment is a specialized evaluation that examines the dynamics between a child and their parents to determine if behaviors or circumstances are contributing to the child’s resistance or refusal to have a relationship with one parent. The assessment provides objective findings to help guide legal decisions and recommendations in the best interest of the child.
- Competency to Stand Trial: A competency to stand trial evaluation is a forensic assessment that determines whether an individual has the mental capacity to understand court proceedings and assist in their own defense. This evaluation provides the court with objective findings to guide legal decisions regarding a defendant’s ability to participate in their trial.
- Criminal Risk Assessment: A criminal risk assessment is a forensic evaluation used to estimate an individual’s likelihood of engaging in future criminal behavior. This assessment examines factors such as personal history, behavior patterns, and psychological functioning to provide evidence-based recommendations for legal and correctional decision-making.
- Personal Injury/Malingering Assessment: A malingering assessment is a specialized evaluation used to determine whether an individual is intentionally exaggerating or fabricating psychological or physical symptoms for personal gain, such as avoiding legal responsibility or obtaining benefits. The assessment uses evidence-based tools and methods to provide objective, reliable findings.
- Psychological Evaluation: A psychiatric assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of an individual’s mental, emotional, and behavioral health. As a certified forensic psychometrist, I complete specialized psychological testing to support legal proceedings and provide forensic clarity. This process helps clarify diagnoses, guide treatment planning, and deliver thorough, evidence-based recommendations for ongoing care or court-related matters.
